Agreement reached to acquire a significant stake in Oasis International
Los Angeles/Toronto – BLUEPRINT ENTERTAINMENT, a leading creator, producer and financier of filmed entertainment announced today that it has reached an agreement has acquired a significant stake in Oasis International, a prominent worldwide distributor of television and film properties. The private investment ensures an exciting future for both companies and an important move for BLUEPRINT into the international distribution arena. The combined companies will be a formidable new force in the independent marketplace. Oasis International will continue to be run by Peter Emerson as President.
Moving into the international distribution business has been part of BLUEPRINT’s strategy to continue its global expansion. The company recently secured a significant financial investment from Robert Lantos and Jeff Sagansky, which has helped give the company the financial strength to quickly build a fully integrated television production and distribution company. With this significant stake in Oasis, it creates a major new distribution portal for BLUEPRINT by giving the Company the capacity to distribute its own television programming through a top notch and well established company, as well as aggressively pursue distribution rights to third-party properties from producers in the U.S., Canada and around the world.
BLUEPRINT and Oasis International have enjoyed a working relationship for 5 years with Oasis having handled international distribution on a number of BLUEPRINT properties.
Oasis International handles worldwide distribution on a library of over 3,000 hours of programming, making it one of the largest independent distributors in North America. The library includes TV series, TV movies, feature films, lifestyle shows, biographies, family programming and formats. Hit titles include ReGenesis, Kenny vs Spenny and Iggy Arbuckle all of which have successfully been licensed to over 100 territories. Oasis also controls a significant stake in AMAZE Film and Television the producers of Saint Ralph.
